When you use NutriAI, we collect the following information to provide our calorie tracking service:

• Account information (email address, name) provided during sign-in via Apple or Google
• Profile data you enter, such as your name and nutrition goals
• Meal photos you submit for AI analysis (processed in real-time and not permanently stored on our servers)
• Nutrition estimates, meal descriptions, and saved meal history generated from your scans
• Subscription and payment status (managed securely through Apple's In-App Purchase or Stripe)

2. How We Use Your Information

• To analyze your meals and provide calorie and macro estimates using AI
• To track your daily nutrition intake and display progress toward your goals
• To manage your account and subscription
• To maintain and improve service reliability and app quality

3. Data Storage & Security

Account, subscription, server-side scan data, saved meal descriptions, nutrition estimates, and goals are stored using Convex, a cloud database platform with encryption in transit and at rest. Meal photos are processed by Google's Gemini AI for analysis and are not permanently stored on our servers after processing. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini AI — for food recognition and nutrition analysis
• Convex — for account, subscription, and API data
• Apple Sign In / Google Sign In — for authentication

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Ask questions about your data and how it is handled
• Opt out of any non-essential data collection

You can delete your account in the app from Settings > Delete Account. To exercise other privacy rights, contact us at support@nutriai.app.

6. Data Retention

We retain your server-side account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account in the app, server-side account data is deleted and local app data is removed from the device. Some limited records may remain briefly where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or backup integrity.

7. Children's Privacy

NutriAI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of NutriAI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
